1. Riverland Dairy Bio Farm
Located just outside the rural village of Kampia, just 20 minutes outside Nicosia, Riverland Dairy Bio Farm  is a magical haven where the animals are happy, well cared for and fed a fully-organic diet. School groups and individuals are welcomed up to the farm on weekends when the family who run the cosy little place will take you around, show you the ropes, and treat you to a delicious organic breakfast at the end of the morning. 2. Extreme Park Nicosia
With two levels of indoor playgrounds and exciting activities for children between 1-13 years of age, Extreme Park in Nicosia’s Strovolos district is a great place for kids to spend their excess energy. Parents can sit back and enjoy a drink or a snack at one of the cafés, content in the knowledge that their precious little bundles of joy are safe and entertained. Closed on Mondays, Extreme Park also has an Outdoor Fun Factory with climbing walls, trampolines, inflatable castles and sports pitches which is open until October.

3. Mazotos Camel Park
They might look like creatures left behind from the prehistoric era when dinosaurs roamed the earth, but the camels at Mazotos Camel Park near Larnaca are friendly, sociable and love being fed and petted. Go on a camel safari, play a round of crazy golf, relax while the kids enjoy the rides and activities in the Kids Area, or learn about the other animals at the park.

4. Hike the Caledonia Falls, Troodos
Get the kids out of the house, away from the glare of their ipads, TVs and laptops, and up into Troodos for some fresh mountain air. Only 3km, or two hours long from start to finish, the Caledonia Falls Trail is a nice short route, and with the promise of an impressive waterfall to see when you reach the end, young hikers will be greatly motivated to stretch their legs and enjoy the lush green surroundings.

5. Paphos Zoo
Learning the importance of caring for and conserving wildlife is an integral lesson for us to teach the next generation of animal lovers and environment protectors. With its large family of exotic residents from all over the world, a trip to Paphos Zoo to see the giraffes, monkeys, crocodiles, kangaroos, mouflon, white lions, tigers and elephants is a day out the kids will never forget.

6. Paintball Z, Limassol
Hailed as the most extreme Rec-ball paintball field on the island, Paintball Z, located just outside Limassol, offers fun-lovers and adrenalin seekers a well-furnished course, packed with old cars, rubble, hide-outs, tunnels, ditches and look out points. Get a big group together, form two teams and head down to Paintball Z to battle it out for victory!

7. Horse Riding at Lapatsa
Lapatsa is a small, friendly and intimate family-run riding school located in the countryside just outside the capital city. Accustomed to working with kids, the horses are friendly and well trained, so whether you want to book a lesson, or just drop in to see the gentle giants, you’re sure to get a warm equine welcome from the humans, dogs, cats and horses at Lapatsa.

8. Oceanic Aquarium Protaras
Take the kids on an interactive adventure through the oceans, rivers and lakes of the world at the Oceanic Aquarium Protaras. With over 200 species of marine life floating peacefully around in over 50 tanks, the aquarium is also home to a wide variety of other land and water-dwelling creatures and makes for a very interesting day out for kids and adults alike.

9. Capoeira For Kids
So much more than a simple sport, the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira is an interactive activity that incorporates dance, acrobatics and music, helping children develop balance, coordination, self-esteem and a sense of identity. At the hour-long capoeira sessions for kids between the ages of 7-11, in Nicosia every Wednesday at 4.15-7.15pm, mini-capoeristas in the making will not only be encouraged to explore the joys of being active, but also positively inspire self-expression in a fun and playful way.

10. Daytona Go Karting
A bit of adrenalin and healthy competition never did a kid any harm and a great place to combine both is the Daytona Go Karting track just outside Nicosia. The screech of tyres as the Go-Karts hurtle around the sharp bends, coupled with the smell of burning rubber and the eager anticipation as they wait their turn, will have the kids bristling with excitement and talking about this for months.
