July 1: Eternal Voyages Summer Highlight
One of the biggest events of Pafos 2017, renowned artists from Cyprus and abroad will be joined by volunteers in a show which will narrate the story of travellers who have landed on the shores of Pafos from around world, using drama, music, performing arts and cutting-edge technology. With music and lights transforming the city for the night, the show will pay tribute to the multicultural identity of the town.

July 7 – 8: The Trojan Women directed by Theodoros Terzopoulos
The Ancient Odeon will take audiences back in time with an international production of The Trojan Women by Euripides. The world-renowned Greek theatre director, Theodoros Terzopoulos, and renowned set designer, Jannis Kounellis, have collaborated with artists from around the world for this performance, bringing together actors and actresses from divided cities in Cyprus, Bosnia and Palestine to act out the tragedy of the women of Troy following its defeat and destruction.

July 29: Luz Casal in concert
Prepare for the warm and soulful voice of this Spanish diva in a unique concert by the Pafos Castle. Often hailed the ‘Diva of the Iberian’, she’ll be presenting a unique musical journey to delight the senses, joined by an orchestra of great soloists, singing songs that celebrate life and love (including the legendary ‘Piensa en mi’ and ‘Un Ano de Amor’), alongside bolero, tango and flamenco melodies.

August 4: Second Life, Eleftheria Arvanitaki
The renowned Greek singer, Eleftheria Arvanitaki joined by the Accordes Guitar Ensemble, will be givinga unique poetry performance set to music under the starry night sky by the magical Aphrodite’s Rock, filled with dynamism and passion in each and every verse.

August 5: Weddings and Funerals, Goran Bregovic
Another one of the absolute highlights of Pafos 2017, Goran Bregovic will be arriving with his orchestra to work their magic in an al fresco performance, by the stunning Aphrodite’s Rock, accompanied by Vasiliki Anastasiou with the Amalgamation Choir.
Expect brilliant orchestra sounds, with strong influences of Balkan tradition – brass instruments, the traditional Bulgarian polyphonies, electric guitar, traditional percussion, string instruments – and even, influences from Orthodox and Roman Catholic hymns and Muslim prayers.

August 19: Misia – The Soul of Fado
One of the best performers of Portuguese Fado music, Misia, will be arriving in Cyprus for a performance inspired by traditional poems, combined with new material giving rise to the inspirational sounds of contemporary Fado.
