With lockdown measures slowly being lifted and a glimmer of hope on the horizon, we can now look forward to fun times outdoors by the beach during the summer; a real treat for us all after the months spent secluded at home. Public beaches are set to open up in June and swimming for personal exercise is now permitted, while going for a walk by the sea – and adhering to all social distancing measures – is also allowed.

If you live in Laranca, and are lucky enough to enjoy strolls down the Finikoudes Promenade, you can now take in the glories of nature every step of the way thanks to a travelling photo exhibition named iLIFE-TROODOS. Adorning the promenade until May 25th, the exhibition comprises 19 stunning photos showcasing the brilliant biodiversity of the Troodos National Forest Park and the inherent value of its ecosystem.

More specifically, the selected photos have been taken by photographers who captured the splendour of the natural world as part of the ‘Troodos, it is in our nature’ competition, where participants were encouraged to “capture” the park’s natural beauty while showcasing the variety of habitats, flora and fauna species, geology and natural landscapes throughout the four seasons of the year.
