DP World Tour
The DP World Tour (Formerly the European Tour) will return to Cyprus, after last year’s huge success. The European Tour, now renamed DP World Tour, was formed in 1972 and reaches more than 490 million homes in more than 150 countries during live broadcasts, and has gained the attention of even more athletes, spectators, and media.

DP World Tour golfers will compete for a prize fund of €2 million dollars in the upcoming tournament in Cyprus, scheduled to take place from November 3th – 6th, 2022. Golf lovers can sit back and enjoy the event as spectators, while children under 11 will also benefit from free admission to the tournament, aiming to cultivate a love for golf among the younger generation. The tournament will be promoted and staged by International Sports Management (ISM) with full TV and news coverage from Sky Sports Television Networks.
Organisers let on that the PGA National Cyprus Golf Course at Aphrodite Hills Resort will once again be transformed into a massive TV set with its stunning greens and Cyprus’ idyllic landscape providing a backdrop that will captivate sports audiences across the world.
L’Etape by Tour de France
A few days after the DP World Tour, Cyprus will welcome the word-famous international cyclosportive series, L’Etape by Tour de France, in a mass participation cycling event organized by Mokapot Productions in cooperation with A.S.O., owner and operator of the Tour de France and Aphrodite Hills Resort.

This first-ever weekend event at Aphrodite Hills Resort Village Square, will commence on Saturday 12th of November with a day filled with French cuisine, attendance from cycling legends, and family cycling fun followed by the L’Etape Cyprus race on Sunday, 13th of November.
L’Etape Cyprus by Tour de France is a ride designed to challenge cyclists on a course comparable to a Tour de France stage, the world’s most well-known cycling race. The inaugural L’Etape Cyprus will take riders on a scenic ride that includes the idyllic vistas of Paphos, Limassol and Troodos Regions. Participants will be able to choose between two distances and experience the full ride of 136 Kilometres with more than 3000 meters of elevation, or the short ride of 62 Kilometres and a total of 1200 meters of elevation.

“L’Étape by Tour de France Series offers a unique opportunity to all amateur cyclists to discover the best cycling routes under the same conditions as Tour de France riders. Besides the great human and sporting challenge L’Étape by Tour de France participants will face, they will also meet the same conditions, habits, and emotions the professional peloton and its legendary riders have experienced since 1903 on the French roads. Cyprus looks like a perfect destination for cycling enthusiasts with great routes suited to all kinds of riders and amazing landscapes and infrastructures. The event will offer the ultimate challenge for all local riders and will hopefully pave the way to the future participation of Cypriot riders in the professional Tour de France,” said Christian Prudhomme, Tour de France Director.
