Who says that the magic of summer weekends has to come to an end in Septemebr? After all, Cyprus is blessed with endless sunshine throughout the autumn months, with warm temperatures meaning you can still work on that tan by the beach or poolside. And in true My Cyprus Insider fashion, we’ve located some top new spots to leave you feeling like your re-living mid-summer magic all over again!
1. Thalassines Villas, Ayia Thekla
Designed by well known Cypriot Sculptor, Andreas Lympouridis, Thalassines Villas is a beautiful, family-run accommodation complex located in the quiet area of Ayia Thekla, just 10 minutes’ drive from Ayia Napa city centre. And we’ve gone gaga over the new three-bedroom beach-front villa with a panoramic roof terrace (pictured in the cover photo).
Complete with an outdoor hot tub for evenings of pure bliss and a private swimming pool and garden for day time fun, you can also kick back in the lovely gardens and secluded beach, with comfortable sofa beds, towels, umbrellas and beautiful gazebos to make your stay as dreamy as possible. The premises also include a beach bar, beach cinema, cabana spa, mini-market and kids’ playground area.

2. Serenity Boutique House, Vouni
A gorgeous new boutique complex in the bucolic Vouni wine village, Serenity Boutique House is the perfect spot to unwind in the most comfortable and pretty surrounds. Comprising of the Serenity Studio – a charming ground floor studio – and the Serenity Deluxe – a two-story apartment complete with a lovely terrace, terrific mountain views and a dreamy jacuzzi – just take your pick from these two luxury apartments within a fully renovated, traditional stone-built house in the centre of the village.
Step outside the complex and you’ll be immersed in history, with plenty to see and do all around you in this spectacular village. Kick back at the central coffee shop or dine at one of the local taverns, before heading further afield to explore the gorgeous sun-kissed slopes of the Troodos Mountains.

3. Modus Vivendi Villa, Arsos
Another Limassol wine village gem, this gorgeous villa in the heart of Arsos village is so idyllic and secluded that you wouldn’t have any idea it exists. But you’ll be quick to sing its praises the moment you arrive, with the whole place made to feel like a home away from home. Eclectic, rustic and beautiful, the villa is much the same as the gorgeous Modus Vivendi sister properties in the Larnaca district village of Psematismenos.
Step inside the meticulously decorated three-bedroom house and you’ll be greeted by heirloom furniture combined alongside simple contemporary design. The living room on the ground floor boasts an original stone fireplace and wooden beams and is furnished with antique and vintage pieces and artwork from the owners’ collection.
The modern kitchen and dining area opens up to a covered veranda with the two original stone arches perfectly framing the courtyard and the swimming pool. The lovely garden is packed with different aromatic plants and herbs, while the surrounding countryside is a real nature lover’s haven. The main church of the village is also a stunner; a historic 13th century building dedicated to St. Philipos.
