While the weather in Cyprus may be getting a little cooler, it’s certainly not quite time for cozy nights by the fireplace with warm cocoa in hand and a snug blanket. Be sure to make the most of the mild and sunny autumn weather and head out with the whole family for a fun day under open skies. But where to take the kids when they’re in desperate need of entertainment? My Cyprus Insider has narrowed down some great spots for the whole family to enjoy a day out.
1. Extreme Park, Nicosia
Established in 1998, the Extreme Park – Nicosia is one of the best-known venues where kids can have a wild adventure! The park boasts an outside play area called the Outside Fun Factory, as well as an aquatic-themed area called the Underwater Adventure, where kids are invited to sit down and watch their favorite film in a specially designed room and nautically themed play area, fully equipped with a bouncing castle and a colorful ball pit!
This park also includes a Sand Castle and Shipwreck area, reserved for children under the age of 4. The young ones can also enjoy wall climbing, bungee trampoline and jump shot basketball, or just kick a ball around on the football pitch.
Where? 149 Strovolos Avenue, Nicosia. Extreme Park is closed on Mondays, while operating hours depend on the day of the week and season. Be sure to call before you drop in for a visit! Tel: (+357) 22-424681
3. Lucky Star Park, Larnaca
Whether you’re flying high on a roller coaster ride, or whizzing around on a go-cart, the whole family can have an absolute blast at Lucky Star Park, with heaps of activities to keep the young and young and heart entertained. Hop on the safari train, let the young ones reach for the skies on the trampoline and get them giggling on the bumper boats. Opening hours depend upon the season so do call before you head here.

4. The Dinosaur Park, Paphos
Have little fear in this dinosaur park – all animals are of an inflatable nature! Head to this great Dinosaur Park in Paphos and the kids can roam free, jumping up and down as they please on the many dinosaur-shaped bouncy castles. The playground here is covered with artificial grass, and surrounded by a high fence, to provide additional security and safety. Not just about bouncy castles, there’s a great trampoline to set hearts racing, while toddlers can also enjoy their own play area with a little house and slides on comfy rubber tiles.
