Want to take the little ones out for a refreshing dip but tired of the same old pools or amusement parks? Head down to Eleouthkia Park and prepare for the ultimate day out, where kids can run free and enjoy a giant splash, while adults can spend time meandering about the gorgeous grounds while enjoying Cypriot tradition at its best.

Taking its name from the Cypriot word ‘Eleouthkia’ – meaning small olive trees –  the park is spread over 20,000m² of old olive groves that are now lovingly arranged into 13 thematic botanical gardens. From the cactus/succulent and sub-tropical garden, to the Bonsai and Meditteranean garden, nature lovers are in for a real treat.

Located in between Limassol and Paphos near the village of Anarita, the park offers guided tours, where expert botanists will tell you about the 50,000 species of plants and flowers that grow on site.

A great place for the kids to unleash their energy, apart from the swimming pool, the park also boasts two playgrounds, lawn areas for playing, various games for kids of all ages, table football, skateboards, rollers, bicycles and much more.

The whole family is also bound to have a blast in the farmhouse, as you get better acquainted with tools people used over a century ago for their agricultural and farming occupations, including the wine press, the zivania distillery, the flour mill, traditional oven and authentic plough.

Walk around the grounds and you can even step into a traditional folkloric museum showcasing traditional objects and tools from daily life in Cyprus. You can also catch a glimpse of traditional uniforms and woven baskets providing insight into the island’s culture and tradition. Want to take a piece of Cypriot tradition back home with you? The ‘Traditional Corner’ souvenir shop is packed with just about everything, from homemade sweets and jams, to herbal teas, honey, syrup and more.
