If the kids are getting itchy feet over the holidays, a brand-new place is about to open its doors in Limassol this week providing for a real alternative fun day out.

Something totally different for Cyprus, ‘Masterland the Children’s City of Craftsmen’ combines fun and education, as the young ones are given the chance to combine play with learning as they get better acquainted with a whole host of adult professions in a model city!

A brilliantly designed space, the Masterland owners decided to open the place after noticing a lack of interactive activities for kids to enjoy on the island. In Masterland, kids between the age of 4 – 15 can work as a builder, a bank employee, a fireman, a surgeon, a chef, a dentist, a policeman, a postman, a painter, and much more, and even receive a play “salary” and then go on to spend it!

With 70 professions to choose from and, the whole place is designed as a model of a real city, complete with a hospital, bank, pharmacy, park, train station and much more. Kids can enter the establishment of their choice for a half hour hands-on experience and masterclass workshop. Through role play, they’ll learn about life and work in the real world, while acquiring new knowledge, skills and experience. In the hospital, they’ll learn about first aid and all the different organs of the body, in the bank, they can enjoy a hands on experience with all sorts of jobs that one can do in the banking sector. And the list goes on!

With each entrance ticket, kids are entitled to four hours inside Masterland and they can partake in four different workshops. Masterland officially opens to the public on August 4th. Tickets are priced at €20 for a child and €5 for parents accompanying the young ones.
