Whether you’re dreaming of panoramic mountain vistas or bright blue coastlines, a few days away in Cyprus can lift your spirits in no time. Here are some fabulous newbies on the list to entice you.

1. New Okella, Saittas

A pretty new rural establishment that has just opened its doors in the pretty Saittas village (in the Limassol winegrowing district of the Troodos mountains), New Okella is where holiday dreams come true if you are in need of a great escape. Set at an altitude of 650 metres with exceptional views of the mountains and pine trees, the 11 spacious rooms here look out towards the flowing Saittas river.

The surroundings are as peaceful as can be, but that certainly doesn’t mean that you’ll feel bored. There are gorgeous stone-built villages to explore in the vicinity, great nature trails to walk through, and the beach is not too far either – Saittas is only a 30-minute drive from Limassol. Keep in mind that the establishment will open for lunch and dinner in the beautiful yard throughout the summer. A buffet breakfast is also offered to everyone staying at the hotel.

2. Hotel Indigo, Larnaca

Couple’s only holidays in the city have never been so chic! This new Larnaca entry is going to delight lovers of architecture and design, perfectly combining old and new in stunning style, much like the seaside town of Larnaca itself.  The boutique Hotel Indigo comprises 40 rooms and has totally transformed what was once two traditional homes.

The branded establishment (an IHG hotel) is a great base for a summer weekend getaway with your other half, from which you can head out to enjoy the area’s beaches, beach bars and countless restaurants. Culture vultures and history buffs also have plenty to take in, from the Larnaca Fort to Saint Lazarus Church and the old Turkish Quarter. After you’ve explored the historic town, be sure to watch the sunset from the hotel’s dreamy rooftop bar and take a dip in the swimming pool. Put your feet up for the night in the stylish rooms featuring plush beds, bathrobes, and relaxing rain showers.

3. Petit Palais, Troodos

The newest kid on the block, this place has not officially opened its doors quite yet, but it is gearing up for a July opening. And the place is not totally new as such, but instead, a newly renovated, totally revamped version of the old Petit Palais hotel. Right in the centre of Platres on the peaks of the Troodos Mountains, there is probably no better place to cool off from the midsummer heat and refresh the senses.

The 32 rooms (including two suites and eight connected rooms for families) are stylish and chic, with earthy colours providing the perfect backdrop for relaxing and carefree holidays. Keep in mind that the hotel restaurant will be open to non-residents. Watch this space!
