 1. 1st Street Food Festival, Limassol

Limassol has long been a buzzing hub of all things cool, and now, locals and visitors alike have the chance to delight their taste buds at the city’s first-ever Street Food Festival. Taking place between September 10th and 12th in Germasoyia, you can look forward to live shows and plenty of stalls cooking up a storm, serving treats from all around the world, from Asian and Indian to Mexican and Middle Eastern cuisine. Live bands and DJs will add to the fun atmosphere and kids will even be entertained with a live magic show and a dedicated kid’s play area. And cocktail lovers take note – expert baristas will even be flying in from Thessaloniki to serve delicious cocktails!

2. Authentic palouze making, Arsos

If you love nothing more than a taste of tradition, head to up to Arsos village – one of the biggest one producing villages on the island –  to join a free workshop this Sunday September 12th where you’ll learn how to make palouze, a thick traditional jelly-like sweet made from local grape juice. All those who attend the workshop will also get to indulge in palouze treats and learn about the various health benefits of grape juice.

3. Sundays in the Countryside: Halloumi the national product of Cyprus

Agios Theodoros in Larnaca will be at the centre of all the cheesy action this Sunday September 12 th with an event focusing on delicious halloumi. Organised by the Women’s Association of Rural Larnaca, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a hands-on halloumi-making experience, and find out plenty of information about this Protected Designation of Origin Product (PDO) and its unique characteristics.
