In light of new measures to restrict the spread of Covid 19 the A.G. Leventis Gallery – housing over 800 significant works of European art in the capital –  has introduced an initiative named ‘I Stay Home – I Stay With Art’, encouraging all of us to stay positive and connected through the uplifting, communicative power of art.

The facebook event, enables virtual art visits – through posts related to the A. G. Leventis Gallery Collections – and access to international art news. In this spirit, the gallery also invites and encourages other museums and galleries to join the project by posting their own objects and news. The ‘I Stay Home – I Stay with Art’ project is an open platform for everyone – a cultural antidote to the difficult times facing the international community. Simply visit the facebook page and tune in!

A.G. Leventis Gallery is home to the largest private collection of European Art on the island and stands as the culmination of the vision of the late Cypriot entrepreneur, Anastasios Leventis, who wished to establish a gallery in his homeland that would give crowds the chance to see the extensive private collection which he built up over his lifetime. In these hard times, let’s visit the museum virtually to help lift our spirits!
