Unbeknown even to most locals, the gorgeous Milia medieval bridge is a fascinating haven for history lovers, nestled amid a density of greenery, just below Platres village inside the Troodos forest. Once a crucial crossing point over Krios Potamos river, you can get to the site via a nature trail that goes right past the bridge, starting at Platres Sports Centre and ending at the Platres-Pera Pedi road.

It should only take you about 30 minutes to walk the trail, but the terrain isn’t the easiest, so do wear good hiking shoes and prepare for some gorgeous nature as you explore the area on route to the lovely bridge. A real medieval stunner, you can kick back to take in the splendors of nature that surround the bridge, as the senses are lulled by the gurgle of the river.
