We’ve all been through a tough year and most of us are looking to make the most of the great outdoors over the summer, while we totally switch off from all the worries and stress that the pandemic inevitably brought with it. And there is no better place than the west coast of the island to switch off from everything and enjoy a break in the sunshine. The My Cyprus Insider team has been busy looking into alternatives to regular hotel accommodation, and here are some interesting finds!
1. Knightaway Garden Hut
Looking for a getaway that’s totally off the grid? A real break with no internet, no emails, no news, nothing to disrupt the peace and quiet whatsoever? Then this colourful little Knightaway Garden Hut (pictured in cover photo) is for you!

As the name of this place suggests, you’ll be waking up to lush garden views and can enjoy an à la carte or a gluten-free breakfast surrounded by leafy greenery in your private outdoor dining area. The room itself features a double bed, a cute little seating area, and a small kitchenette. As for the shower and toilet…they have both been built outdoors, but don’t let that put you off – they’ve been designed pretty well.

2. House 4, Arsinoe Beach Village
If it’s uninterrupted views out to sea that you yearn for, Arsinoe Beach Village (specifically, house 4) could be just the place you’re looking for. A great idea if you are traveling with family or friends, this beachside house is big enough for five people, and there’s plenty of room to laze and hang out both outside and in.

The living room features a flat-screen TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave. Free private parking is available.

3. Kings Square Holiday Apartments
If sleek and modern is what you need for a comfy holiday, then Kings Square Holiday Apartments should be right up your street! Head here if you’re not too fussed about being right next to the sea, but would like to stay somewhere central, with all modern amenities at hand.

The air-conditioned units are furnished with parquet floors and feature a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, wardrobe, a living room, an equipped kitchenette, patio and views over the town and sea beyond. There’s also an on-site restaurant, a bar, and room service for your convenience.
