Hope you’ve had a great week, it has certainly been a big week for Paphos, with European Capital of Culture celebrations now underway and heaps of great cultural events taking place over the next year bound to delight you, whether you love art exhibitions, have a passion for classical music, or are fond of great theatre shows. And with the historic town now in the limelight, we here at My Cyprus Insider thought it fitting to give you the lowdown on some of the best sites that make the town so special when it comes to history and culture. Read all about some great places to head to and tick off your bucket list here.
Speaking of places that one has to visit, we hit the road this week and went on day trip through some of the more unknown villages in the Limassol and Larnaca district, and came across a gem of a place in the quiet and peaceful Asgata going by the name of Chrysolemonia. A little different to most typical taverns, the owners have paid special attention to decorating the place with a vintage flair, while the food is wonderfully fresh and all locally sourced.
And with all things delicious on our mind this week, we also went on a bit of trip down memory lane to the long days of our childhood when stopping off for a sweet treat was rather different to the more commercial cake shop or bakery experience we have become accustomed to today. Curious? Read all about some great traditional places to satisfy your sweet tooth here.
Have a great weekend!
Bye for now, Zoe
