With many more beautiful spring days ahead of us, there is no better time than the present to think about booking a perfect countryside break. And with the Easter holidays giving us the opportunity to kick back for a few days, the My Cyprus Insider team has located some of the most idyllic spots to truly recharge those batteries!
1. Casa Indy, Fasoula, Limassol district
Described by one guest as an ‘oasis of peace and tranquillity’, it doesn’t get much more serene and relaxing than Casa Indy. Located in the quiet Limassol district village of Fasoula, this renovated house originally dates back to the mid-19th century, with the original stonework restored to its former glory, while reclaimed wood enhances the period features.

Spacious and elegant, the cosy feature fireplace is a definite plus on chilly evenings but the absolute star of the show has to be the walled garden with its gorgeous infinity pool! The perfect chill-out spot if you want to bask in the spring sunshine, the area is filled with lush plantation and chic seating areas.

Where? Smyrnis 6, Fasoulla, Limassol. Tel: (+357) 99-989868

2. To Apokentro, Alona, Nicosia district
On the side of the Troodos peaks between Madari and Papoutsa mountain ranges at an altitude of 1200 meters lies the sleepy village of Alona. And all those wanting to put their feet up in style can head straight to the restored and renovated complex of traditional houses going by the name of To Apokentro.

The complex consists of two traditional residences, each with their own distinct personality and traditional aesthetics – take note of the gorgeous local stone — with all modern-day comforts making the place a real treasure trove. The Melanopetra residence is ideal for a group of friends or a large family, with 3 bedrooms in total, while the Kerasodendro has 2 bedrooms.
