Dear Insiders

As I type away at my keyboard, windows wide open and sunlight flooding the room, I can’t seem to wipe the smile off my face because THIS is my absolute favourite time of year, with spring coming in a close second. I don’t know exactly what it is about autumn that I find so fascinating but there’s something I just love about the heat of summer finally subsiding, feeling comfortable without the AC on, and pulling out those first winter jackets from the wardrobe. I feel refreshed, alive and filled with energy! Speaking of pulling out the jackets, nothing beats a mountain escape this time of year either, feeling the cool breeze as you drive up winding mountain roads, and stopping off at some glorious village for glass of red wine or cup of coffee as you look out to a natural landscape that’s slowly turning crimson.

One of my favourite village escapes has to be Kalopanayiotis, and this week, I got the team excited about the idea of a dedicated presentation on all the great things one can do in the rural hot spot that has really earned a status as one of the island’s coolest villages. Speaking of cool places that are worth a visit, the Old Limassol Port has become a real talking point over the past few months, with some fabulous restaurants having flung open their doors to welcome foodies. As for the design of the place, it’s bound to leave you wide eyed. Curious? Here’s the lowdown.




And because I am, as I have mentioned a number of times, absolutely enamoured by the idea of amazing food, I was delighted to hear about Cyprus’ First International Food festival set to take place at the start of the November.
